Now Signulous, what is it? Signulous: is a signing service which allows apps not from the original users app store, giving an extensive Third-Party App Library (from this library you find exclusive apps worthwhile to use), the app library provided also has its own Cloud-Based Platform (which means it never is a hassle the service handles its own, allowing for you never to care about “generating certificates or installing software – you don't even need access to a Mac.” This is all done on their behalf giving ease of using the app), the app also has Custom iOS signing (which means if the app store doesn’t have your preferred modified app, it would handle modifying your own uploaded IPA file provided to work with and provide the newly modified app for you.) and for all this it comes with a price tag of $20 US. C’mon Kanopy, we’re all fans here, just fix it already. That moment you just have no clue is it worth the purchase, should I grab my wallet, and go on with something never purchased? How could I tell if this would be worth it? This is the “purchase anxiety " at its finniest, but I’m here to ease this Anxiety everyone experience’s when no one has explained what comes along with the purchase.

Every single review that poses a question regarding disappearing credits receives the same response- we’re sorry you’re having this problem, please send an email directly to Kanopy to discuss further, aka …(probably) you don’t have a real solution other than manually crediting to individual accounts. I can imagine it is much more frustrating for first time users, especially if they only are allowed 3 credits per month. I get 12 credits per month and am fairly tech savvy but I find this issue hugely frustrating. Why not have a simple “do you want to use credit” or similar? There’s no doubt my public library is paying for a service its users are not able to fully utilize.

Oh and oops, if you accidentally press the wrong button, press play for a movie you don’t want to watch (even for a split second and immediately get out of it) well too bad, you lose a credit. (lose a credit) There’s no option to finish watching it later or tomorrow. The only way to get back to it is to “rent” again. This: There is zero way to recover if you accidentally press the wrong button while watching a film.

Hands down, amazing content, however, its been really clunky with the same problems for all of these years. Make it easy for us to learn, and sensible to use, and our choices, governments, lives and histories will easily make sense, too.Īmazing content - please fix the platform

The same is true of entire societies, over a series of generations. And that is the sign of a deeply literate, broadly empowered set of designers, creators and users. So I’m happy to announce, from my bias that Kanopy is an exemplar, rationally designed interface. The interfaces of Instagram and Quora, for example, are remarkably primitive and unhelpful Craigslist and Wikipedia, like Kanopy, are logical and streamlined. Many are the titans of this age with Lilliputian assumptions, even more are the disruptors with brilliant imaginations. So the power of much human experience will be mediated by an “interface,” that wall with both virtual and physical dimensions that functions as a window and curtain, padlock and turnstile, stairs and moat, pen and paper, letter and stamp, dream forsaken or awakened, patrimony and posterity. The arts, entertainment and communications of the 21st century are clearly electronic in their delivery and digital in their creation and preservation.
